2. Methods
Participants listened to a 12-minute spatial soundscape while four-channel EEG was recorded. Neural entrainment was estimated as phase-locking between the audio-tempo envelope and band-limited cortical activity [@lakatos2019].

What It Does
Markdown first

Author in a friendly WYSIWYG markdown editor with BibTeX references. LaTeX is an export target, not a prerequisite.

Agents in the loop

Specialized agents — writer, researcher, advisor, reviewer, analyst — work inside the document via slash commands: /cite, /research, /figure, /review.

Grounded citations

/cite inserts real, verifiable references — the agent finds the source and attaches it to your bibliography, not a plausible-looking guess.

Publish-ready output

Live PDF preview rendered via Typst; one-click export to Word and LaTeX via Pandoc. Real-time collaboration for co-authored manuscripts and grants.

Why We Built It

Research isn't finished until it's written.

Nouscope and Soundscapes generate data and questions; Kuhn is how the answers become papers, protocols, and grant applications. We built the writing tool we wanted for our own studies — and opened the source for any research team that would rather think about the science than fight the toolchain.

Curious, or want to pilot it with your lab? Get in touch.

Open source, self-hostable

Kuhn's code is public, and organizations can run their own private instance — manuscripts and references stay on your infrastructure. If you'd rather try it before deploying, write to us for access to our live instance at kuhn.soundtrip.ai.
